Baseball Opportunity of a Lifetime with the Cepeda Family

Tournament Details
- Game Guarantee: 5 games guaranteed with private transportation to and from each game
- Pool Play: Each team will play 3 pool games and then move to a championship bracket play.
- Age Brackets: 9U to 14U. Players may be moved up or down based on skill or other factors. Any change will be at the parent’s discretion.
- Fields and Locations: Games will be played at Dominican Republic ballparks and academy fields in the San Pedro de Macoris area.
- Countries Represented: Currently, registered teams and players are representing the USA and Dominican Republic. Other countries are in discussions to join.
- Opening Ceremonies: Lots of fun with flag-waving, anthems, live band/music, and all teams in uniforms. All family, friends, and fans attend opening ceremonies.
- Awards Presentation: Each coach will select one player from his team to award him The Orlando Cepeda Offensive MVP!
- Coaches will also choose a player they feel stood out on Defense. Diving for the ball, talking, backing up plays. He will receive The Cepeda Classic Best Defensive Player award.
- Awards will be presented at the closing dinner.
- Game Action: Be prepared to compete between the lines and play baseball in an atmosphere that few get a chance to experience.
What You Can Expect
The Cepeda Caribbean Classic is a premier tournament showcasing young talent from different parts of the USA, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and other Latin countries. Our 2025 event will be the 10th year we’ve held the Cepeda Caribbean Classic tournament, and we are extremely happy to have the chance to bring families back to experience baseball in paradise.
Our American, Puerto Rican and Dominican staff consists of former MLB players, current Academy coaches, and many more acclaimed baseball coaches.
All players will receive the following:
- 1 Cepeda USA cap
- 2 sets of top and bottom uniforms
- 1 Cepeda USA dri-fit workout shirt
- 1 pair of Cepeda USA dri-fit workout shorts
- 1 Adidas swag bag

Day 1 – Sunday, July 13
Travel Day
Arrival Deadline: All participants must arrive at Bahia Principe, Punta Cana by 6:30–6:45
PM.

Welcome Event (7:00–8:30 PM)

Day 2 – Monday, July 14
Breakfast at the Hotel
- 7:45 AM – Charter buses leave for the field (Do not be late!)
- 9:00 AM – Opening Ceremonies
- Players must wear WHITE uniforms and bring practice gear/equipment.
12:00 PM – Team Practice (2.5 hours)
3:45–4:00 PM – Return to the resort
8:00–8:45 PM – Merchandise Sale
Day 3 – Tuesday, July 15
Breakfast at the Hotel
- 7:45 AM – Charter buses leave for the fields
- 9:30 AM – Pool Play begins
- 3:00 PM – Return to the resort
- Free Time in Punta Cana
Day 4 – Wednesday, July 16
Breakfast at the Hotel
- 7:45 AM – Charter buses leave for certain age groups
- 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM – Pool Play Games (schedule provided at the intro meeting)
- 3:15 PM – Return to the resort
Evening Activity (7:00–8:30 PM)
- Guest Speaker: Marvin Benard – Sharing his journey to the MLB
- Q&A Session (8:00–8:30 PM)
- Merchandise Sale
Day 5 – Thursday, July 17
Breakfast at the Hotel
- 7:45 AM – Charter buses leave for San Pedro de Macorís Field
- 9:30 AM – Bracket Play begins
- 4:00 PM – Return to the resort
Group Picture at the Beach (6:00 PM)
- Players must wear white jerseys and game hat (Mandatory)
- Professional photographer will be present
Day 6 – Friday, July 18
Championship Day Breakfast at the Hotel
8:00 AM – Charter buses leave for San Pedro de Macorís Field
3:00–6:00 PM (Tentative) –- Home Run Derby
- Skills Competition (All age groups)
Closing Ceremony & Awards Dinner (7:00 PM)
Dress Code: Players must wear brown shorts or pants with the white tournament collared shirt (provided).
